Caring Gifts children

Every child deserves a gift on Christmas morning

While the children in our transitional housing programs have had the opportunity to complete wish lists that can be given out through our Adopt-a-Family campaign, the children who will be staying at our emergency Family Shelter during the holidays will not have the opportunity to participate.

As we feel all children should have the joy of opening a new gift on Christmas morning, we are asking the community to help us make that wish a reality by donating to our Toy Drive on behalf of the children who will be arriving in our Family Shelter and transitional housing programs this month and next.

We ask that your donation of new, unwrapped toys be delivered to the Volunteers of America administration office (1900 Point West Way, Suite 270, Sacramento) by 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11.

For more information about Volunteers of America's Toy Drive, please contact Kim Castaneda at kimc@voa-sac.org, or 916.442.3691.

If you're in the Reno area, please contact Shirley Gibson at sgibson@voa-nv.org, or call 775.322.7143.
